Cheap Accommodation for Surfers in the Surf Sanctuary Surf Lodge in Newquay (Groups - Less than 10)

Our primary accommodation base is The Surf Sanctuary, which is a super chilled-out surf lodge in easy walking distance to Fistral Beach and the beaches of Newquay Bay. The Surf Sanctuary is owned and run by Dom Moore and his partner Susie and the whole ethos is to provide tranquil, cozy and safe accommodation for people who want to make the most out of their time in Cornwall.

Facilities at The Surf Sanctuary include: en suite rooms with all linen and towels provided, wetsuit drying and board storage area, free wireless internet, a very cozy lounge where you can relax in front of a roaring fire after your surf, and discounted mountain bike and surfboard hire. Guests can also peruse the maps and surf guides provided should they want to follow their own trail!

Because The Surf Sanctuary does not cater to groups on binge drinking missions and the owners live on site, you can be sure of a sound and refreshing night's sleep to set you up for another epic day on the beaches of Newquay. To keep prices at the absolute minimum, accommodation is back packer style with two people sharing a room. Each room has its own shower and loo.

In the event that The Surf Sanctuary becomes fully booked, accommodation is provided two doors up and two doors down at our friendly neighbouring surf lodges.

Accommodation for Groups of More Than 10 - What Explore South West have to say...

We are a bunch of surfers, kitesurfers, beach rangers, ex-teachers, web designers, environmentalists and travellers.  We have all lived in North Cornwall for over 10 years. During this time we have travelled to far flung corners of the Earth in search of the perfect spot for...well, life I guess.  Travelling was done under the guise of finding picture perfect surf, or the whitest sand and the most iridescent sea, but what we were really looking for is somewhere we would be happiest.

The spark that clarified my mind, was that out of the hundreds of people I met travelling, I was the only one actually looking forward to going home, to Cornwall.  That's not to say I didn't enjoy picking Mangos for breakfast in Fiji and living like a king in the Dominican Republic for peanuts, but Cornwall always seemed to be calling.

It seems to be a familiar story with all of us ex-transients who have searched the world, and decided that the best of it, is on our doorstep.  That's why Cornwall, and that's why we are continuously trying to showcase Cornwall to the rest of the U.K.  I guess that it is a way of boasting, showing off that we live here permanently, and you, have to go home.

At Explore South West, we specialise in sorting accommodation and activities for large groups, so click on this link and find out what we can do for you!
